Estimator – Midlands (Remote with Site Visits)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + 10% KPI Bonus + 5% Company Bonus + Car Allowance
Location: Midlands & Surrounding Areas (Remote working with regional travel)

Role Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive tender submissions for refurbishment, construction, and maintenance projects ranging from £50,000 to £2 million. The ideal candidate will bring strong sector knowledge and a proven ability to produce high-quality, commercially sound estimates.

This is a remote role with site visits, best suited for someone based in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for tender bids (£50K–£2M).

*

Source and analyse material, labour, plant, and subcontractor quotations.

*

Conduct thorough risk assessments, factoring in inflation, logistics, and site-specific conditions.

*

Support projects across multiple sectors: custodial, education, commercial, refurbishment, maintenance, and residential.

*

Liaise with internal teams to ensure pricing aligns with tender documentation and project objectives.

*

Maintain clear audit trails and organised estimate records.

*

Work independently and proactively across the Midlands and Northern regions.

*

Provide your own transport – a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications & Requirements:

*

Proven experience estimating refurbishment and general construction projects (£50K–£2M).

*

Solid understanding of multi-sector projects (custodial, education, commercial, residential, maintenance).

*

Relevant qualification such as RICS, BSc, BEng, or CIOB (preferred).

*

Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

*

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

*

Self-motivated, organised, and delivery-focused.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years’ estimating experience in refurbishment or general construction

Licence/Certification (Preferred):
