Proposals Manager
A leading infrastructure services provider is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join its highways division. You will be joining an established bid function as a Proposal Manager where you will be responsible for line managing a team of Bid Writers whilst leading high value bids from start to finish.
Proposal Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Accountable for the coordination of strategic bids (particularly larger TMC) and including bid programme, quality submission and priced submission.
* Hands on bid writing duties and ownership of questions from storyboard through to final submission. You'll collaborate with and influence the bid team to establish common and specific win themes, differentiators and effective tender strategies.
* Work alongside the Bid Director to manage bid teams. Inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with business development, estimating, writing, commercial and operational teams.
* Coordinate and plan all client presentations and negotiation preparation required as part of the bid submission.
* Delivering prequalification and bid submissions, workshops and bid writing activities.
* You'll be the direct lead of a team of writers, providing coaching, development and guidance.
Proposal Manager Key Skills required:
* At least 5 years working on £multi-million construction submissions.
* Thorough knowledge of work winning procedures and processes including reviews
* Excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrating ability to form persuasive text in a concise format.
* Strong research capability and ability to summarise extensive information in saliant points.
* Experience of managing significant projects / bids with multidisciplinary teams.
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Strong communication skills.
