Planning Engineers
About the Role
We are seeking skilled Planning Engineers to join a leading engineering and technical services provider supporting the UK’s nuclear power generation sector. This role sits within the Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, working closely with our key client, across its UK nuclear fleet.
You’ll be part of a large, client-led team based at Sizewell B, contributing to multiple high-profile projects across the UK portfolio — particularly focused on nuclear defueling and decommissioning initiatives.
As a Planning Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and managing schedules that incorporate risk, change, resource needs, and costs — ensuring full compliance with EDF Generation’s standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules throughout the full lifecycle — from development and design through to delivery.
Integrate risk, change, cost, and resource data into detailed, logic-linked project plans.
Support delivery of the client’s ALR2 commitments within the Nuclear Defueling team.
Establish and maintain robust Work Breakdown Structures and Project Control Structures in line with investment delivery processes.
Produce accurate monthly progress reports and intelligent analysis for senior management.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and integrate third-party schedules and data.
Ensure planning processes are fit for purpose, achievable, and fully aligned with project objectives.About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
HNC/HND (minimum) in Engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge across the project and programme lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
Proficiency in Primavera (latest version).
Demonstrable experience managing schedule-related aspects across a portfolio of projects.
Proven ability to produce cost and resource-loaded baseline plans.
