Estimator – Sheffield (£35,000 – £45,000)

Office based with flexibility around working hours

Travis Talent is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their growing commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured yet supportive environment, where quality, accuracy and collaboration are valued. The successful candidate will be based in the Sheffield office, with some flexibility available around working hours.

The Role:

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Commercial Manager and wider team on a variety of construction projects. You’ll take responsibility for preparing tenders, bills of quantities and cost reports, helping ensure projects are accurately costed and commercially viable.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Assisting with the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Schedules of Rates.

*

Compiling tenders and quotations for works.

*

Supporting the administration of contracts during the construction period.

*

Preparing and updating cost databases and financial reports.

*

Assisting with valuations, claims and variations.

*

Carrying out site visits and supporting project delivery as required.

*

Contributing to meetings, documentation and project records.

What We’re Looking For:

*

Previous experience in a similar estimating role within the construction industry.

*

Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.

*

Proficiency in standard estimating tools and MS Office applications.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

*

A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
