Job Title: Scaffold Design Engineer

Experience: 5+ years in scaffold design

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Scaffold Design Engineer to join a leading scaffolding contractor, providing innovative and practical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed scaffold design drawings, calculations, and design risk assessments.

Provide design checks, value engineering input, and technical support during tender and construction phases.

Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and site teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and cost-effective.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in scaffolding or temporary works design.

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Competent in AutoCAD and scaffold design software (e.g., SMART Scaffolder, Tekla, or similar).

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Attributes

Practical site understanding of scaffold erection, sequencing, and safety procedures.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance technical excellence with project efficiency.
