About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a high-profile project based in King’s Cross, London. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of mechanical installations on-site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for supervising site operatives and subcontractors, managing day-to-day activities, coordinating with other trades, and supporting the Mechanical Project Manager in achieving key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate mechanical site activities, including installation of HVAC, plumbing, and public health systems.

*

Ensure works are carried out in line with design drawings, specifications, and project programme.

*

Manage and monitor mechanical subcontractors’ performance, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and ensure all operatives adhere to health and safety protocols.

*

Liaise closely with the Mechanical Project Manager, Engineers, and other discipline Supervisors to maintain smooth workflow coordination.

*

Review and sign off mechanical installations and assist with testing, commissioning, and handover processes.

*

Monitor materials and plant deliveries, reporting shortages or issues to the Project Manager.

*

Maintain accurate daily site records, progress reports, and issue tracking.

*

Support the management team with client meetings and progress reviews when required.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within the building services / M&E sector.

*

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

*

SSSTS / SMSTS certification.

*

CSCS Supervisor or equivalent card.

*

Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems.

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive productivity and quality on site.

*

Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.

*

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
