MEP Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy delivering one of Oxford's most high-profile developments.

This is a fantastic chance to take on a major site-based role within a respected and growing Cost Management team – working on a technically complex project with an MEP package worth over £150m.

The MEP Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the on-site commercial and project management teams, taking responsibility for managing and reporting on MEP costs throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll be involved in:

Reviewing scopes and challenging costs to ensure value is achieved.
Supporting contractor negotiations and agreeing provisional sums.
Preparing and maintaining detailed cost reports and valuations.
Managing change control and assisting with monthly financial reviews.
Collaborating closely with a wider team of MEP Cost Managers and Estimators based in the Oxford head office.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience on a large-scale, technically advanced project, while developing their career in a structured, professional environment.

The MEP Quantity Surveyor – Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
5+ years' experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their associated costs.
Previous experience working for a contractor or consultancy.
Confident in contractor negotiation, cost management, and reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Bluebeam desirable.What's on Offer?
