Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established UK-wide construction and property consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving Reading office. This is a standout opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor eager to work on high-profile, complex schemes and progress quickly towards Associate level.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will join one of three specialist cost management teams in Reading, working alongside 15 experienced professionals in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The role centres around delivering large-scale, NEC-based projects, with a particular emphasis on the Defence, Education, and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sectors.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a lead role on a major Defence framework, managing several projects ranging from £50m to £1bn+. The position offers the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, take ownership of strategic cost planning, and oversee full project lifecycles.

With brand-new offices, hybrid working (2-3 days in-office), and a clear route to Associate, this consultancy offers both the project exposure and professional support needed to thrive.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor – Requirements

MRICS preferred but not essential
Previous Quantity Surveying experience in a UK Construction Consultancy / PQS firm
NEC contract experience – highly desirable
Track record of delivering complex projects from inception to completion
Ability to manage multiple schemes and support junior team membersWhat's on Offer?

The company are happy to discuss individual requirements based on experience but are looking to offer:

£60,000 – £75,000 basic salary
