This reputable construction business specialises in property restoration and adaptation projects across Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Working with clients in the insurance and public sectors, the company has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, well-organised refurbishment work. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Trainee Project Manager to support their expanding public sector adaptations division.
In this role, you'll shadow experienced Project Managers and learn every aspect of the project lifecycle – from planning and coordination through to delivery and client handover. You'll liaise directly with clients, organise labour and materials, manage project documentation, and play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have some construction knowledge, experience in a fast-paced environment, and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and a drive to progress. The Role:
Learn all aspects of project management through hands-on training and mentoring.
Assist with organising project programmes, scheduling works, and managing site documentation.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and homeowners to ensure excellent communication.
Support health & safety compliance and site inspections.
Work towards set KPIs and project delivery targets.The Person:
Highly organised with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Proven ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience or knowledge of the construction industry (preferred but not essential).
Motivated, proactive, and keen to build a long-term career in project management.
Full UK driving licence required.
