About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic Graduate SHEQ Advisor to join a well-established organisation operating across the rail, infrastructure, and construction sectors. Based in the Greater London Area, this role is ideal for someone early in their SHEQ career, looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Working closely with the SHEQ Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of SHEQ initiatives across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
* Support the preparation and review of SHEQ documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and site safety plans.
* Help maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
* Contribute to incident and accident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
* Monitor SHEQ performance metrics and compile data for internal reporting.
* Provide SHEQ guidance and support to project and site teams.
* Help deliver SHEQ inductions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
* Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all workstreams.
Requirements
* Relevant NEBOSH or 3rd Level Qualification
* A basic understanding of relevant SHEQ legislation, standards, and best practices.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with staff at all levels.
* Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* A self-starter with a proactive approach and attention to detail.
* Full UK Driving Licence (due to multi-site visits).
