About Us:
Based in Durham, we’re an established building company delivering high-quality construction projects primarily across the North East. We’re expanding our commercial team and looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in managing our project finances and supporting tendering activities.

The Role:
This is an office-based role where you’ll be responsible for preparing tenders, managing variations, and ensuring accurate valuations across all live projects. You’ll work closely with our site and management teams to ensure each contract is commercially managed from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit tenders and cost estimates.

Send out tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.

*

Manage variation schedules for each project.

*

Carry out monthly valuations and prepare interim payment applications.

*

Monitor budgets, costs, and cash flow across multiple projects.

*

Assist in contract administration and reporting to senior management.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.

*

Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.

*

Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

*

Proficient in relevant software (Excel, estimating tools, etc.).
