I'm working with an award-winning architectural practice to find a Senior Architectural Technologist for their creative and collaborative studio based in West Sussex. This dynamic team delivers an exciting portfolio of residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial projects, taking each scheme from concept through to completion. The successful Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll play a pivotal role in project coordination and delivery, leading design teams and maintaining direct communication with clients, consultants, and contractors. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional who values technical precision, enjoys hands-on project leadership, and thrives within a collaborative, design-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project delivery through RIBA Stages 4-6, focusing on residential and mixed-use developments.
Prepare and coordinate comprehensive working drawing packages, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and detailed technical information.
Oversee coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining clear, consistent, and professional communication throughout all project stages.
Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging technical quality and collaborative working.
About You
Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology (CIAT accreditation advantageous).
Proven technical experience on medium to large-scale projects (typically £5m+ construction value).
Proficient in Autodesk Revit (essential) and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Housing Standards.
Excellent leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Highly skilled in technical detailing and well-versed in modern methods of construction.
