Freelance Quantity Surveyor 2-3 Days per Week

Clearfield Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our long-standing clients to source an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a part-time assignment of 2-3 days per week.

Our client undertakes a wide range of projects across the building and residential sectors, so we're looking for a well-rounded QS who is comfortable working across multiple types of work and who can integrate smoothly into an existing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the financial aspects of live projects.

Prepare, manage and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Assist with procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management.

Conduct regular site visits and liaise closely with site teams and management.

Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to agreed timelines.

Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the building and residential sectors.

Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on a freelance basis.

Happy to work site-based (village on the border of Bury St Edmunds).

Details:

Days: 23 days per week (flexible for the right person)

Start: ASAP

Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
