Mechanical Operations Manager

We're working with a respected and growing building services contractor based in the Midlands, specialising in mechanical installations including HVAC and plumbing systems. Following continued success and expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee project delivery and lead their mechanical project management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional to take a hands-on leadership role, driving operational performance, improving processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects nationwide.

As the Mechanical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Oversee and coordinate all mechanical and HVAC project delivery across the UK & Ireland, ensuring quality, safety, and commercial success. Projects valued from £5,000-£1,000,000.
Allocate projects to Project Managers, monitor progress, and guide to ensure deadlines, budgets, and standards are met.
Work closely with Directors to develop and improve company procedures, operational efficiency, and resource planning.
Manage and support key projects directly, from tender through to completion, including client liaison, site meetings, and reporting.
Oversee resource allocation, procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration.
Ensure all projects meet H&S, quality, and documentation requirements (RAMS, O&M manuals, etc.).
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
The Mechanical Operations Manager will be paid a basic salary of up to £60,000, depending on experience + Company Car + Private Pension + 22 Days Holiday (Increasing with years of service) + Birthday + Bank Holidays.To be successful as the Mechanical Operations Manager, you will need:

Proven track record in mechanical or HVAC project management, ideally at a senior or operational level.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building services systems.
ONC/HNC qualification in building services (HVAC) preferred.
A valid CSCS card.
Competent with CAD drawings and IT systems.The successful Mechanical Operations Manager will be paid up to £60,000, depending on experience + Company Car + Private Pension + 22 Days Holiday (increasing with years of service) + Birthday + Bank Holidays.
