Site Engineer

Contract Scotland are working closely with a leading main contractor to source a freelance Site Engineer for a high-profile commercial refurbishment project in the heart of Edinburgh.

We're looking for a Site Engineer available to start as soon as Monday, ideally with experience working on complex building projects.

The Role:

You’ll be joining a well-established project team on a large-scale city-centre refurbishment assisting with:

Setting out, including facade works (checking gridlines, positioning windows, etc.)

Ensuring build accuracy aligns with design specifications

Working closely with design and construction teams on a busy live site

What You’ll Need:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on building or refurbishment projects

Comfortable with setting out using total stations (own kit is a bonus but not essential – kit can be provided)

Availability to start at short notice (ideally Monday)

Able to hit the ground running on a busy site with minimal supervision
