About the Role

My client are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, working on a high-profile data centre project based in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a technically complex, fast-paced scheme for one of the UK’s leading construction firms.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full commercial management of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, cost control, and contract compliance across all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the data centre project

* Provide accurate reporting of project finances to senior management

* Lead procurement and subcontractor management activities

* Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and variation claims

* Advise on value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures

* Ensure compliance with company and client financial procedures

* Mentor and guide junior commercial team members as required

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major construction projects (data centres or M&E-heavy projects advantageous)

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

* Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT forms of contract

* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
