Design Manager – Main Contractor

Are you an experienced Design Manager with a background working for a Main Contractor?

Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a historic and long standing construction Main Contractor, who are currently on the look out for a Design Manager to join them on a permanent basis out of their office in South Yorkshire. As a Design Manager, you will play a vital role overseeing and managing the design process of construction projects valued between £10 million and £50 million.

What are we looking for?

* MUST HAVE: Prior experience as a Design Manager/Design Co-ordinator working for a Main Contractor

* Experience working on a variety of project types

* Strong understanding of design processes, project management techniques, and construction methods.

* Full UK's driving license

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee design drawings, specifications, and other documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.

* Manage the design approval process and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained prior to construction commencement.

* Act as the main point of contact for all design-related queries and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

* Work closely with architects, engineers, and the project team to ensure that design concepts align with project goals and client expectations.
