Planner / Senior Planner
Role overview
My client is a World Leading Construction Company.
They are currently recruiting for Planners and a Senior Planner for their Regional Civils Division in the North of England.
About The Role
The company are looking for a Planner and a Senior Planner to join their team in one of their northern regional offices (Leeds, York, Warrington and Sheffield), and play a key role in delivering a range of civil engineering projects, including highways and coastal defence schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Planners who enjoys working on complex, varied projects and wants to make a real impact on how the company deliver for their clients and communities.
Duties
* Leading on the preparation, development, and management of project programmes across multiple schemes
* Using planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta, MS Project and Excel to build accurate schedules and track progress
* Working closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to keep programmes on course.
* Identifying and communicating risks, delays, and opportunities for efficiency.
* Producing clear, insightful reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
* Mentoring junior planners and supporting the wider planning function within the business.
Requirements and key attributes of the Planner / Senior Planner
* Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to highways or coastal defence projects
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Asta, MS Projects and Excel.
* A good understanding of construction processes, sequencing and project lifecycles.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Someone who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
