Drainage Gangs Required – Major Civils Project in Sunderland

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Contract

Rate: £20ph CIS

We are a leading civil engineering contractor urgently seeking competent and highly experienced Drainage Gangs to work on a large-scale, long-term infrastructure project in the Sunderland area.

We require self-sufficient, productive gangs who can hit the ground running and demonstrate expert knowledge in deep drainage and trench support.

Duties:

Deep Drainage: Expert installation of both foul and surface water drainage systems.
Trench Work: Proficient use of trench boxes, drag boxes, and shoring systems for safe deep excavation works.
Pipe Laying: Skilled in accurately setting out, preparing beds, jointing, and laying various pipe materials (concrete, plastic, clay).
Manhole Installation: Experienced in building, benching, and forming manholes and inspection chambers.Essential Certification & Tickets:

A full suite of valid certification is mandatory for all members of the gang:
CSCS Card (all members): Must be valid and in date.
Confined Spaces (Medium Risk preferred): Certification for all personnel who will enter manholes or deep trenches.
CPCS/NPORS Plant Tickets: Essential tickets within the gang must include:
360 Excavator Operator (with Lifting Operations endorsement preferred).
Forward Tipping Dumper / Roller.
Ganger: Must hold a relevant supervisory ticket (e.g., SSSTS or SMSTS) and be capable of managing the RAMS and daily safety briefings.What We Offer:
