Are you an experienced Estimator looking for the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of diverse projects across Scotland. Based in Glasgow, this role offers the chance to play a key part in securing high-quality projects and shaping the success of a leading construction business.

The Role:
As a Senior Estimator, you’ll take responsibility for the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction sectors. Working closely with operational, commercial, and pre-construction teams, you’ll assess project requirements, manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, and develop robust cost plans that reflect true project value.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new build, refurbishment, and framework projects

Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure all elements are costed accurately

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations

Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks

Contribute to bid strategy meetings and present estimates to senior management

Support and mentor junior members of the estimating team

About You:

Proven experience in an estimating role within the UK construction industry

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and cost drivers

Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office

A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
