Electrical Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Contracts Manager to manage and deliver multiple electrical projects from tender through to completion for our client based in Swindon.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate labour and materials, and ensure that all commercial, financial, and operational targets are achieved across your portfolio of contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Quotations & Tendering: Prepare and submit competitive quotations and tenders in line with submission deadlines.

*

Procurement: Source materials, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure best value and quality.

*

Project Management: Oversee ongoing projects to ensure programme targets, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.

*

Administration: Complete necessary admin tasks such as approving job cards, managing documentation, and ensuring office systems are kept up to date.

*

Labour Management: Assess and allocate labour resources through effective planning and communication with site supervisors and the wider team.

*

Financial Control: Review supplier invoices against quotations and agreed terms; prepare and finalise valuations, invoices, and stage payments by month-end.

Staff Management: Monitor performance, provide leadership, and identify training or development needs within your team.

*

Communication: Liaise with Commercial Operations regarding project progress, variations, risks, and any issues impacting delivery.

Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or Project Manager within the electrical contracting industry.

*

Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation practices across commercial, industrial, or domestic sectors.

*

Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.

*

Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively.

*

Leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.

*

Competent in Microsoft Office and general contract administration software.

*

ECS/JIB card and 18th Edition qualification preferred.

*

Full UK driving licence required.
