Hill McGlynn is working in partnership with a leading construction consultancy specialising in interior fit-out and refurbishment projects, to recruit a detail-oriented and creative CAD Technician to join their team in Maidstone.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and design-led business that delivers high-spec commercial interiors across a range of sectors, including retail, hospitality, workspace, and education.

🧱 The Role

As a CAD Technician, you’ll support the design and technical teams by producing accurate drawings and technical details for a variety of interior projects. You’ll be involved in space planning, construction detailing, and helping to bring creative design concepts to life with precision.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

* Create detailed 2D CAD drawings from design briefs and mark-ups

* Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes

* Prepare layouts, floor plans, elevations, and technical sections

* Assist in preparing drawings for planning and building control submissions

* Coordinate drawings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams

* Support project delivery from design through to construction

👤 Ideal Candidate

* 1–3 years’ experience in a similar CAD Technician role within construction or interior design

* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (SketchUp or Revit knowledge a bonus)

* Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings

* Keen eye for detail and spatial awareness

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Relevant qualification in CAD, Construction, Architecture or Design an advantage
