The Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Scheduler / Planner to join this dynamic maintenance contractor. This role goes beyond traditional coordination duties, taking ownership of engineer scheduling and resource management across multiple trades. Acting as the vital link between clients, engineers, and office teams, you will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, client satisfaction, and smooth operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage daily and weekly engineer schedules across multiple trades.

Allocate work effectively, ensuring the right engineer is assigned to each task.

*

Create and maintain job records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

*

Monitor progress against service level agreements (SLAs) and take proactive action where needed.

*

Liaise with clients, tenants, landlords, and subcontractors to arrange access and provide updates.

*

Identify and escalate scheduling or resource issues, proposing practical solutions.

*

Coordinate material deliveries for planned works.

*

Support client quotations through accurate data collection and job tracking.

*

Maintain accurate records for quotes, bids, and ongoing works.

*

Contribute to team meetings, sharing ideas to improve service delivery and efficiency.

*

Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis (including weekends).

*

Assist with general administrative and office tasks as required.

The Candidate:

Experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination within maintenance, facilities, or engineering sectors.

*

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

*

Confident using Microsoft Office and scheduling or CRM platforms.

*

Proactive, adaptable, and calm under pressure with a problem-solving mindset.

*

Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and improving operational performance.
