Senior Quantity Surveyor
We’re working with a leading consultancy delivering a major £140 million, 9-kilometre highway and infrastructure upgrade through the heart of Dublin. This flagship Active Travel project includes extensive highway improvements, upgraded bus lanes, and enhanced transport infrastructure aimed at improving connectivity and sustainability across the region.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key commercial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project. Working closely with the commercial and project teams, you’ll ensure cost efficiency, compliance with NEC4 Contract (Option C), and proactive management of project performance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage all commercial and contractual activities for the project.
* Administer and manage NEC4 Option C contracts, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
* Prepare and manage Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) and Earned Value Analysis (EVA) reports.
* Manage approximately 25 subcontractors, including payments, variations, and performance monitoring.
* Oversee downstream subcontract payments and ensure contractual compliance
* Support forecasting, cost control, and budget management activities.
* Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to resolve commercial issues.
* Contribute to procurement strategies, subcontractor management, and change control processes.
* Provide commercial insight and reporting to support project delivery.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification.
* Proven experience as a Senior QS on major infrastructure, highways, or civil engineering projects.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC4 Contracts (Option C essential).
* Skilled in EVA and CVR reporting.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
