Site Manager
My client are a regional civil engineering who have been running just shy of 30 years across the civil engineering sector. My deliver projects within the transport, infrastructure and civil sector. They are looking to onboard a site manager to help deliver a critical infrastructure project being delivered in the heart of Manchester.
Site manager duties:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed according to schedule, plans, and specifications.
* Manage on-site personnel, allocate tasks, and ensure quality workmanship.
* Enforce safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all workers follow health and safety standards.
* Inspect ongoing work to maintain quality standards and ensure materials and methods meet project requirements.
* Monitor and manage materials, equipment, and manpower to avoid delays or wastage.
* Act as the main point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
* Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on project progress, issues, and timelines.
* Address on-site challenges quickly and make decisions to keep the project on track.
Site manager requirements:
* Right to work in the UK.
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* SMSTS.
* First aid.
* TWS/TWC – Desirable.
* Experience within highways, excavations, drainage and/ or structures.
* Full UK driving licence.
* IT literate.
