Service Centre Manager

Harris Global is currently seeking a Service Centre Head to join a construction company on a permanent basis. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a busy service centre ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, teams are performing at their best and operational and commercial targets are consistently met.

Candidates must come from a roofing background, either as a contracts manager, operations manager or service manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage all personnel within the Service Centre, driving performance and delivery.

* Plan, manage and audit contracts using the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and Nav software.

* Ensure adequate labour resources are in place to meet production and service demands.

* Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality, environmental and service excellence.

* Work closely with H&S, Commercial and Contracts Directors to ensure operational alignment.

* Monitor budgets and manage costs effectively, following purchasing and authorisation policies.

* Support business development and customer retention through excellent service and communication.

* Provide coaching, training and ongoing development to Service Centre staff.

* Collaborate with other regional centres to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.

About You

* Must have proven background in operations, contracts management or service management within roofing.

* Strong leadership and team management experience.

* Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of contract delivery.

* Knowledge of HSEQ principles and compliance standards.

* Experience using Integrated Management Systems or ERP software (e.g., Nav).

* Strong organisational, communication and problem solving skills.

* Able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.

* Collaborative, proactive and results driven mindset.

* Full British Driving Licence
