Location: North London
Salary: £85,000 – £95,000 plus package
A leading contractor specialising in groundworks and reinforced concrete frame projects across London and the South East is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and growing business with a strong pipeline of work.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the full commercial function across several groundworks and RC frame projects. You will be responsible for maximising project profitability and ensuring commercial control throughout all stages of delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing all commercial aspects of groundworks and RC frame projects from tender to final account
• Preparing valuations, variations, and monthly cost reports
• Procuring and managing subcontractors, including negotiation and payment
• Monitoring budgets, cash flow, and project costs
• Providing accurate forecasts and financial reports to senior management
• Liaising with clients, project managers, and site teams to resolve commercial issues
Experience and Qualifications Required
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a groundworks or RC frame contractor
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple live projects
