We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Site Manager to join our team on a contract basis for a high-profile pharmaceutical project. This is a key role in delivering the final stages of a complex clean room build, ensuring exceptional quality, compliance, and attention to detail during the fit-out and handover phases.

This position is ideally suited to a candidate with a strong main contracting background and prior experience working on GMP-regulated environments, pharmaceutical, or clean room projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all internal finishing works to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality and cleanliness expected on pharma/clean room projects.

* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of finishing activities.

* Manage snagging, de-snagging, and handover processes in line with client expectations and industry standards.

* Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness protocols specific to pharma environments.

* Report progress to the Project Manager and contribute to short-term planning and issue resolution.

* Ensure works are completed to specification, within programme and budget constraints.

* Liaise with QA/QC teams to ensure all finishes meet GMP or equivalent standards.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Proven experience as a Finishing Site Manager on large-scale construction projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or clean room sector.

* Background with tier 1/main contractors.

* Strong knowledge of construction finishing standards and expectations within controlled environments.

* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

* CSCS card, SMSTS, and relevant H&S certifications.

Contract Details:

* Duration: Approx. 6 months

* Location: Sunderland

* Rate: circa £275 – £300 per day (DOE)

* Start: ASAP
