Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced ICP Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of multi-utility and electrical connection projects from design through to completion. This is a client-facing role suited to a technically strong leader who can manage budgets, people, and project performance within an accredited ICP environment. The successful candidate will work remotely, managing all aspects of ICP operations, accreditation, and project delivery to ensure compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of ICP project delivery, including design, construction, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure up to and including 33kV.
• Oversee project teams, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
• Lead client meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder updates to ensure clear communication and project transparency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, DNOs, and IDNOs.
• Support NERS design and technical accreditation processes.
• Manage competency assessments, accreditations, and compliance documentation. • Implement and monitor Health & Safety standards and company policies.
• Prepare and manage multi-year business plans and departmental budgets.
• Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of engineering teams.
• Provide input to commercial and tendering processes when required.
Experience & Skills
• Extensive background within the Utilities / ICP sector – ideally in Design, Project, or Delivery Management roles.
• Experience managing electrical connections up to 33kV.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within DNO/IDNO frameworks.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen. • Excellent leadership, client engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of NERS accreditation, Health & Safety, and quality systems.
• Proficient in project planning, risk management, and reporting.
Qualifications
• Degree or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Relevant industry training such as SSSTS / SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Amtech ProDesign.
• Full UK Driving Licence
