HSEQ Engineer

This SHEQ role is part of a team of 3 managing UK HSEQ tasks. The company is brilliant and part of a successful international Group. The job will focus mainly on ownership of all things SHEQ for construction projects being undertaken around the country, partnering with internal teams and peers at Principal Contractors such as Atkins, Costain and Balfour Beatty. The projects are all marine construction and tend to be large, impressive projects.

The HSEQ role

You will have autonomy in how you manage your workloads, providing Health & Safety, Environment and Quality support to a number of projects around the UK. The work is varied and super interesting, working on some impressive construction projects. Some of the things you’ll be involved in include:

* Being the source of knowledge on SHEQ for your project lead

* Be hands on where needed with SHEQ tasks

* Creating documents on behalf of project team, for bids and during project delivery

* Giving advice on HSEQ matters during project set up

* Involvement in investigation of incidents

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

* NEBOSH qualification and ISO experience

* A progressive track record within HSEQ and a desire to continue to progress

* Able to work as part of a close knit, down to earth and professional team

* Enjoy being the expert SHEQ contact for Project Managers within the business and able to engage effectively with other internal stakeholders

* Be credible with customers

* Enjoy visiting projects around the UK and being hands on

* Ability to work with autonomy, managing caseloads and juggling priorities
