About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Estimator to join the pre-construction team in Manchester. This is a key position within the business, responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the North West.
Working closely with senior management, project delivery teams and supply chain partners, you’ll play a vital role in developing winning bids and ensuring the commercial success of upcoming projects.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates for Cat A, Cat B and refurbishment projects.

Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to prepare accurate cost breakdowns and pricing strategies.
*
Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and clarify scope.
*
Developing cost plans, bills of quantities, and pricing schedules in line with tender requirements.
*
Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings to support bid presentations.
*
Identifying value engineering opportunities and alternative construction solutions.
*
Working collaboratively with design, commercial and project teams to align estimates with buildability and client objectives.

Maintaining accurate estimating records, databases and cost benchmarking information.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Proven experience as an Estimator within the commercial fit-out or refurbishment sector.
*
Strong knowledge of interior trades, finishes, MEP interfaces and construction methodologies.
*
Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills with attention to detail.
*
Confidence in reviewing technical drawings and tender documentation.
*
Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, consultants and supply chain.
*
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
*
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently and meet tender deadlines.
*
Based in or commutable to Manchester, with flexibility to visit sites or client offices as required
