Vertical Recruitment is working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a respected, independent Construction Consultancy, widely recognised for delivering expert Project Controls and Cost Management services across major UK infrastructure programmes.

This role offers the chance to be embedded in a newly awarded AMP8 framework in the North West, supporting a long-term programme to upgrade and modernise water and wastewater infrastructure. It’s a high-profile commission offering excellent exposure to large-scale, complex projects and strong opportunities for career development within a growing infrastructure division.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take a key role in the delivery of a portfolio of water sector projects, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within scope and to budget. You’ll act as a key interface between client teams, consultants, and contractors, ensuring alignment across all stages of delivery.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in infrastructure or utilities projects who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident managing delivery under the NEC3/NEC4 suite of contracts.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the end-to-end delivery of water infrastructure projects under the AMP8 framework

* Lead project planning, programming, and risk management processes

* Act as a key liaison between client, contractor, and design teams

* Monitor and report on project progress, budget, risks, and key milestones

* Ensure compliance with contract requirements (NEC3/4) and client governance

* Facilitate stakeholder engagement and coordination across delivery partners

* Support continuous improvement and contribute to the growth of the regional infrastructure team

About You

* Proven experience delivering infrastructure or utilities projects, ideally in the water sector

* Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Proactive, delivery-focused, and commercially aware

* Degree qualified in a relevant construction or engineering discipline

* Ideally chartered (APM, RICS, ICE, or equivalent) or working towards
