About the Company
Our client is a well-established specialist building envelope contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality cladding, re-cladding, and façade refurbishment projects across the UK. Known for their technical expertise and collaborative approach, they deliver complex schemes as a Principal Contractor and for main contractors and developers, typically ranging from £10m–£30m in value.
Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of two live façade projects simultaneously, each valued at £10m+. You will play a key role in cost management, procurement, and client liaison, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and to a high standard.
This position would suit a commercially driven QS with a solid background in cladding or re-cladding and experience working for a façade contractor.
Key Responsibilities

Take full commercial ownership of two concurrent projects (£10m+ each).
*
Manage cost planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
*
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
*
Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including negotiation and contract administration.
*
Support project teams with commercial and contractual guidance (JCT / NEC).
*
Maintain accurate financial reporting for internal and client meetings.
*
Ensure compliance with company and client procedures at all stages.
*
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the façades / cladding / re-cladding sector (essential).
*
Proven experience working for a specialist building envelope or façade contractor.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*
Experience on projects £10m+ in value.
*
Strong contractual knowledge (JCT and/or NEC).
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*
Relevant degree or HNC/D in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
