Externals Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee external works on a major residential scheme in Brentford. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all external façade, envelope, and hard landscaping packages, with a particular focus on cladding systems.

The role requires excellent technical knowledge of external works, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes while ensuring compliance with safety, design, and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate external packages including:

*

Cladding systems (rainscreen, brick slip, curtain walling, etc.)

*

Roofing and waterproofing

*

Windows and doors installation

*

Balconies and balustrades

*

External works and hard landscaping

*

Oversee the day-to-day management of subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

*

Plan, coordinate, and monitor progress against programme milestones.

*

Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure works meet design and specification standards.

*

Ensure all cladding and façade works comply with Building Safety Act and fire regulations.

*

Collaborate with design, commercial, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.

*

Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, QA documentation, and H&S compliance.

*

Drive site Health & Safety culture, conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments.

*

Report to the Project Manager on progress, issues, and upcoming works.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor managing externals on large residential or mixed-use developments.

*

Strong cladding and façade background – ideally with experience on high-rise or complex envelope systems.

*

Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, design coordination, and QA processes.

*

Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, fire safety, and compliance standards for cladding.

*

CSCS (Black / Gold Card), SMSTS, and First Aid certification essential.

*

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and interfaces simultaneously
