We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Joinery Draughtsperson to join our bespoke joinery manufacturing team in Leicestershire. What You'll Do:
* Design accurate 2D technical drawings for bespoke projects like wardrobes and custom furniture.
* Transform client sketches, concepts, and CAD designs into detailed plans that balance creativity with practicality.
* Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to completion.
* Prepare detailed cutting lists, specify materials, and craft clear assembly instructions to facilitate smooth manufacturing.
* Maintain strict adherence to building standards, safety protocols, and our high-quality standards.
* Revise drawings in response to client feedback and evolving project needs.
* Support site surveys and measurements when needed, ensuring accuracy on the ground.
* Keep everything organized with thorough documentation of drawings, revisions, and project details.
Who You Are:
* Experienced in bespoke or high-end joinery manufacturing, with a proven track record in drafting or technical design.
* Proficient in 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD, with a keen eye for precision.
* Knowledgeable about timber, materials, joinery techniques, and construction methods.
* Detail-focused with a keen eye for accuracy and quality.
* Effective communicator, able to liaise confidently with clients, designers, and production teams.
* Skilled at interpreting technical drawings and translating client visions into workable plans.
* Familiar with relevant building and safety regulations.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with 3D modelling software not essential.
* Background in luxury furniture or cabinetry design.
* Creative problem-solver with a passion for precise, innovative design.
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in architecture, engineering, or joinery (e.g., HND, HNC, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3).
* Prior experience in a similar bespoke or high-end joinery environment is highly advantageous.
