Site Manager (Groundworks)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Groundworks Site Manager to oversee and manage groundworks operations on a range of residential and commercial projects across Hertfordshire. This role will involve supervising all aspects of groundworks, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day groundworks site operations

*

Coordinate and lead groundworks teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

*

Monitor health & safety compliance on site

*

Ensure quality standards and specifications are met

*

Work closely with the project management team to plan and deliver phases of work

*

Maintain accurate site records and progress reports

*

Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Groundworks Manager or similar supervisory role

*

Strong background in groundwork and civil engineering projects

*

Excellent knowledge of H&S regulations and site management practices

*

SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred)

*

First Aid at Work (valid certificate)

*

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

*

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
