Environmental Advisor

Environmental Advisor – Scotland 

Boyd Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading Civil Engineering contractor who are seeking a dedicated Environmental Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to work across projects throughout Scotland, with the first project being based in Sanquhar.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice on environmental compliance and best practices to ensure regulatory adherence.

Assist in the development and implementation of company environmental policies and procedures.

Monitor environmental performance and compile reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Support the organisation’s health, safety, environment, and quality (HSE / SHEQ) frameworks.

Engage with internal teams and stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and training.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in HSE / SHEQ-related roles, preferably within similar industries.

Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance standards in the UK.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.

Ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and recommend improvement actions.

Proactive attitude with a focus on regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.
