Rate: £19.07 per hour (PAYE) / £28 per hour (Umbrella) per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
Location: Maidenhead

We are looking for a housing options officer to support the delivery of affordable housing within a local authority-based environment, using knowledge of viability assessments and working closely with legal teams. To provide effective housing advice, homelessness prevention, and statutory homelessness services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide housing advice and conduct outreach visits.
Assess homelessness applications under the Housing Act 1996.
Explore all housing options to prevent homelessness.
Investigate illegal eviction and harassment cases.
Respond to enquiries and participate in out-of-hours rota.
Work with internal and external partners to support housing solutions.
Promote tenant and landlord rights and deliver training.
Stay updated on housing legislation and best practices.Experience:

Strong understanding of housing and homelessness legislation
Experience working with vulnerable individuals and housing providers
Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally
Ability to travel across the borough
Enhanced DBS required
