Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile £50million+ construction project in Bristol as the Commercial Lead on site. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the commercial aspects of a major scheme, working with a dynamic and collaborative management team.

The successful candidate will have significant contracting experience and a proven track record of leading large-scale projects. With commercial sign-off already in place, this role is ready for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the commercial lead on site, overseeing all quantity surveying duties for the project.

Manage cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.

Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractor agreements, and ensure commercial compliance.

Collaborate closely with the project management team to deliver the scheme on time and within budget.

Provide strategic commercial advice and leadership to drive project success.

Candidate Requirements

Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a strong contracting background.

Proven ability to lead large-scale projects (£50m+) as the primary Project Surveyor.

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

Must be based within a commutable distance to Bristol.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related field) are desirable.
