Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver large-scale drywall and interior fit-out packages on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in drywall systems, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontract teams through all phases of construction — from pre-start through to completion and client handover.

This role requires someone with extensive drywall experience who can take ownership of programme, cost, quality, and health & safety performance across multiple live sites.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of drywall and interiors packages from mobilisation to completion.

Plan and manage construction programmes, resources, and sequencing to meet project milestones.

*

Manage procurement, subcontractor performance, and material call-offs.

*

Coordinate interfaces between trades, design teams, and site operations.

*

Monitor progress and produce short-term look-ahead programmes and reports.

*

Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety and CDM requirements, including RAMS, inductions, and daily briefings.

*

Maintain quality assurance processes — inspections, snagging, and handover documentation.

*

Manage project costs and variations, working closely with commercial and site teams.

*

Build and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure delivery excellence, adherence to specifications, and timely project completion.

Key Requirements

*

Proven background managing drywall, ceilings, and internal fit-out packages.

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project or Site Manager within a drywall/interiors subcontractor environment.

*

Strong knowledge of drywall systems, partitions, linings, metal framing, and acoustic detailing.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage design coordination.

*

Competent with project planning tools (ASTA Powerproject, MS Project, or similar).

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

*

Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.

*

Up-to-date Health & Safety qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).

*

Proactive, organised, and able to work under pressure within fast-track project environments
