About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Site Manager to oversee a 5-month external refurbishment project on a old church building. Working for a reputable main contractor, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and compliance across stone repairs, brickwork, and internal decoration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification

* Coordinate subcontractors and trades involved in stone masonry, brickwork, and heritage-style internal finishes

* Liaise with the project manager, conservation officers, and client representatives

* Maintain site health & safety protocols and ensure all RAMS are up to date

* Manage quality control and ensure work meets heritage and conservation standards

* Prepare and maintain site records, daily reports, and progress updates

* Monitor material deliveries and site logistics

Requirements:

* Proven experience managing heritage or conservation-led construction projects

* Strong knowledge of traditional construction techniques and materials

* SMSTS, First Aid at Work & CSCS Card

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Competent in site administration and reporting
