Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK’s leading residential developers on a large traditional build housing scheme in Oxford, comprising 550 units. This is an excellent role for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a national housebuilder, gaining hands-on experience on a high-value project.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the commercial team in the procurement, measurement, and valuation of works.

Assist in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

Work closely with site and technical teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost management.

*

Prepare and review subcontractor payments, variations, and final accounts.

*

Contribute to maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience as an Assistant QS within the residential or housing sector.

*

Strong knowledge of traditional build processes.

*

Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

*

Working towards or holding a degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
