Join one of the UK’s leading Main contractors as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and build an iconic scheme in Sheffield

Our client is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable construction company delivering high-quality residential developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation of budgets, cost plans and valuations

* Support senior surveyors with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis

* Monitor and manage project costs and variations

* Assist with monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasting

* Support the management of subcontractor payments and final accounts

* Contribute to risk management and value engineering initiatives

* Ensure compliance with company procedures and construction contracts

Requirements:

* Working towards or recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (HNC/HND also considered)

* 1+ years' experience in a similar role with a house builder, contractor, or consultancy

* Strong numerical and analytical skills

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software

* Full UK driving licence
