Senior Electrical Estimator

Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Salary: £80K – £85K

Also open to PAYE, Self-Employed or Sub-Contractor arrangements

The Role:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on drawings, specifications and documentation using estimating software (Cypher experience desirable).

*

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and the Purchasing Manager to gather accurate pricing information.

*

Review and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure best value and compliance with project requirements.

*

Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing recommendations for cost control measures.

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and follow up on tenders to help secure future work.

*

Attend handover meetings with the contracts team once projects are secured.

*

Play a key role within the business with progression opportunities into senior management.

The Ideal Candidate:

*

5+ years’ experience in electrical estimating.

*

Experience with electrical estimating software (Cypher preferred – training can be provided).

*

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

*

Confident communicator – happy to engage with clients, chase tenders and build relationships.

*

Organised, proactive and capable of working to tight deadlines.
