Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm (37hrs per week)
Pay: £30.00ph paid weekly via umbrella – inside IR35

Duties
Responsible for the delivery of planned and cyclical works within BCP Councils Housing stock.
Liaise with and direct external contractors and in house team in undertaking the above works, ensuring works comply with statutory demands and are of an acceptable quality.
Prepare tender documentation including specifications for required planned maintenance projects and refurbishment schemes
Manage external and internal contractors working on planned and responsive maintenance projects, cyclical works and refurbishment projects Involves regular site meetings contact with contractors and residents covering all aspects of the work. To ensure works are completed within timescale on budget and to agreed standards  
Carry out pre and post inspections diagnose building defects and prepare budget estimates for schemes, prepare drawings, specifications and tender documents in accordance with the latest legislation and good practice guidance. Apply for any necessary Building Regulation approvals, Planning Permission and structural calculations. Undertake all relevant contract administration and liaise with internal and external audit, and any other Council departments as required
Co-ordinate procurement processes, including the costing of estimates for the work and preparation of tender documentation, so that contractors of appropriate quality, ability and affordability are appointed to complete works. Where necessary holding appropriate accreditations.
Arrange, oversee, and sign off the delivery of works, to ensure they are delivered in accordance with quality, cost, and time requirements
