If so, a fantastic opportunity has just come up to join their London team, as they are currently on the lookout for a Sustainability Consultant who is a passionate professional and who shares their commitment to a more sustainable built environment.
As a Sustainability Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of sustainability certifications and assessments across multiple sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, and residential developments.
You'll work closely with clients, design teams, and internal colleagues to embed sustainability principles into project strategies, ensuring buildings meet and exceed environmental and wellbeing performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead and deliver BREEAM, WELL, and Fitwel assessments from registration through to final certification.
– Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with desired certification targets.
– Identify and manage sustainability risks and opportunities, proposing practical and innovative mitigation measures.
– Undertake Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in accordance with RICS v2, using One Click LCA or equivalent tools.
– Provide sustainability input and supporting documentation for planning applications.
– Conduct gap analyses to evaluate project performance against sustainability ambitions.
– Facilitate design team workshops and coordination meetings to align sustainability outcomes with evolving project requirements.
– Prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and documentation for submission to certifying bodies.
– Mentor and support junior team members, including apprentices, contributing to a collaborative and learning-focused team culture.
– Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
– Support senior members of staff in maintaining and developing client and design team relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience:
– Demonstrable experience managing BREEAM assessments from inception to certification.
– Strong understanding of sustainability principles in the built environment.
– Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
– Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
– Strategic thinker with a proactive attitude.
– Relevant degree in a science, sustainability or engineering subject.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
– Qualified BREEAM Assessor, BREEAM AP or WELL AP (or currently working towards accreditation).
– Experience with WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, or other health and wellbeing certification schemes.
– Experience undertaking Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using tools such as OneClick LCA.
– Familiarity with RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment methodology.
– Experience working within a consultancy or multi-disciplinary design environment.
