Security Faults / Reactive Engineer – North London area

Salary: £38,000 – £46,000 (DOE) + excellent earning potential + company vehicle

Location: North London and parts of Hertfordshire and Essex

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Security Faults / Reactive Engineer to join a respected and growing security company. You’ll be responsible for attending reactive calls, servicing, and maintaining a range of security systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, fault-finding, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing and fault finding on Intruder Alarms

• Servicing and fault finding on Access Control and Door Entry systems

• Working with both conventional and wireless Intruder Alarm Systems

• Maintaining and troubleshooting IP and Analogue CCTV systems (basic networking skills beneficial)

• Working with Dual Com and other monitoring devices

• Knowledge of major brands of panels and app-based systems

• Maintenance of Emergency Lighting

• Familiarity with NSI codes of practice and current industry standards

About You

You’re an experienced service engineer with a solid background in fault-finding and reactive maintenance. You’re self-motivated, organised, and confident communicating with customers. A full UK manual driving licence is essential. Ideally, you’ll be based in North London and able to cover the Hertfordshire and Essex areas.

Hours & Other Details

• Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am start (7.75 hours per day)

• On-call rota: 1 in 5 to 1 in 9 weeks with competitive rates

• Work may involve heights and can be physically demanding

• Full UK manual driving licence required

• Travel to multiple sites across your region

• NSSA Security Screening required for this role
