Estimator

We’re looking an Estimator to join multi-discipline civil engineering contractor based on the South Coast. The business are experts in their field of heavy civils, marine and road construction working as a principal contractor on projects up to £25m for public and private sector clients.

There is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team who can support you with a wealth of knowledge and structured training to bring you up to speed as a stand-alone estimator. Working closely with the preconstruction team you’ll support with bids on large frameworks, major projects and reactive works – ranging in values and complexities.

Previous experience of estimating is desirable but not essential however working in a civil engineering environment in a hands-on site role or commercial role is.

Estimator Duties Include:

* Calculate material, labour, and equipment quantities by analysing construction drawings and specifications.

* Prepare initial cost estimates and budgets by gathering pricing information and creating cost breakdowns.

* Collect, review, and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

* Support the preconstruction team with methodology and pricing strategy.
