Business Development Manager – North UK (Construction Equipment & Site Solutions)

The Role:
As Business Development Manager for the North of the UK (Scotland to Birmingham), you’ll take ownership of growing hire and sales revenue across a diverse product portfolio, including:
* Lifting accessories
* Communications
* Battery Energy Storage Systems
You’ll work both strategically and tactically,engaging decision-makers at head office level while building strong on site relationships with project and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive growth in hire and sales revenue across your region.
* Identify opportunities and upsell solutions through regular site visits.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, planners and project managers.
* Present and demonstrate innovative, safety-led products and technology.
* Collaborate with internal operations and admin teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Represent the business at exhibitions and customer events.
* Maintain CRM data, pipeline activity, and performance reporting.
About You:
You’re an energetic, commercially focused sales professional who knows the construction sector and understands the value of being out in front of customers. You’ll combine technical curiosity with strong relationship building skills and the drive to make things happen.
Essential:
* Proven B2B sales experience in construction or equipment hire
* Confident presenting to both site teams and commercial stakeholders.
* Strong communicator with excellent organisation and self-management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
* Full UK driving licence and comfortable covering a large region.
Desirable:
* Experience selling or hiring equipment directly to construction sites.
* Formal sales training or industry qualifications
* Based in Yorkshire or central to the territory.
