We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join a Local Authority team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing accessibility improvements in various non-housing properties. Your new role
- Conduct detailed surveys of offices, commercial spaces, and other non-housing properties to assess accessibility needs.
- Develop and implement accessibility improvement plans in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accessibility considerations are integrated into design and construction processes.
- Provide expert advice on accessibility issues and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
What you’ll need to succeed
- MRICS, MCIOB, or NRAC qualifications are essential.
- Proven experience in building surveying, with a focus on accessibility schemes.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
